AlterEDUca-te!

Our project will take place in Huși, a small city in the north-east of Romania, in Vaslui County. Young people here do not have opportunities to develop their personalities and cannot spend their free time doing things they really like. We have therefore decided to create this organisation, which will bring them something new and useful and help them become open-minded, cultivated, responsible and daring adults.

The main mission of the project is to introduce non-formal education for active participation in their community.

Our objectives are to create an active NGO that will promote non-formal education and bring new opportunities to children; to draw up a plan and a strategy for the NGO’s action for local development; and to use non-formal education activities to raise the level of civic involvement and to improve attitudes and behaviour towards the community.

The activities will last three months and will also involve young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Twenty-four people aged between 16 and 30 will take part in the project.
